Ali is a multimedia arts + culture journalist, podcaster, entrepreneur, and life coach based in New York City.

As a native New Yorker and multimedia journalist, Ali has a passion for storytelling in various forms, particularly audio and photography, and has gained valuable experience producing podcasts and her arts and culture coverage over the course of her career. She graduated with her bachelors of arts at The New School and is a Masters graduate of the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY. Her photography work has been featured on NPR and District Fray Magazine, for her photos of R&B artist Neffy.

As a former associate editor at LinkedIn, her role was to coordinate with the editorial team to build LinkedIn’s Top Startups Lists and Top Voices Lists, while also assisting with LinkedIn News podcast, Hello Monday. She is currently a contributor for BET.com.

As a former associate producer of the podcast, I worked closely with the senior editor and hosts Roxane Gay and Tressie McMillan Cottom to book guests, pitch upcoming episode ideas, conduct research and create a scripts for the two-way interviews and editing segments.

As associate news editor at LinkedIn I assisted lead producers Jessi Hempel and Sarah Storm with upcoming episode scripts, and work to make sure each episode is cohesive, of high quality content and audio quality.
